About Me

Hello,

My name is Max, and I studied Games Engineering. I worked in the games industry for several years before deciding, for various reasons, to work as a software developer in my main job. Even so, I am still passionately active as an indie game developer, and I handle all of it: from planning and programming through to marketing and the legal side.

My history with games goes back to my childhood, and some of it is among my earliest memories. I grew up with classics like Tetris, Super Mario, Pokemon and Mario Kart. PC games such as World of Warcraft, League of Legends and Counter Strike fascinated me, and so did browser games like Dark Orbit, Wurzelimperium and Ikariam. These days I enjoy AAA titles such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Cyberpunk and Elden Ring, but mobile games have caught my interest too, among them Warcraft Rumble, Clash of Clans, Monster Hunter Now and Pokemon GO. Board games and tabletop RPGs such as Dungeons & Dragons and The Dark Eye are part of my repertoire as well.

During my studies I learned more than computer science and programming. I also gained fascinating insight into the psychological tricks games use. Marketing strategy and game planning were part of the course too, and I learned how those ideas apply across different areas of gamification: sport, development, the mind and health. Alongside that I got to know the newest trends and technologies in the industry around artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality, and I keep myself up to date with where they are going.

In my professional game dev career I have worked on a range of projects, mostly in gamification. I have built numerous games with Unity and gained thorough experience in both 2D and 3D development, as well as in more complex areas such as multiplayer and AI. Since I worked at a start-up, my skills also cover administrative work, project management and planning.

Here on my website I introduce you to my games, keep you up to date with news and updates about them, and from time to time I will run give aways and other events.

See you soon,

Max
