Terms of Use

Realmfront Version 1.2, 4 October 2026

1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of Realmfront in every version, the browser demo included. The game is offered by Maximilian Dittmar (see Imprint and contact).

If you bought the game in a store, the store's terms for the purchase and its licence terms for apps and games apply first, for example Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, the Google Play Terms of Service or the Steam Subscriber Agreement. These terms only add what is particular to this game. Where they differ from the store's terms, the store's terms prevail.

2. Your licence

  • You may use the game for your own, non commercial purposes on the devices the store's terms allow.
  • You may not sell, rent, lend or pass on the game, its program code, its art, its sounds or its texts, alone or as part of something else, unless the law allows it.
  • You may not decompile or change the game, except where the law expressly allows it (for example sections 69d and 69e of the German Copyright Act).
  • The art, sounds, music and fonts of other creators belong to them and are licensed to us. They are named in the game under Settings, Licenses.
  • Where a law requires a parent's approval for a minor (some regions), the game can be played once the store reports that approval.

3. Maps you make

The maps you make in the map editor are yours. We do not receive them. If you share a map, you are responsible for it, including the names you give it and its places. Do not share maps that infringe the rights of others or break the law.

4. Purchase, price and refunds

The purchase contract, the price, payment and refunds are handled by the store you buy from. Your rights under the law, such as a right of withdrawal, are not affected by these terms.

5. Updates and support

We provide updates that keep the game working and secure for the period you can reasonably expect, and at least for five years after the game first came out in the store you bought it from. Updates come through the store. The game tells you when a newer version is there (you can switch this off in the settings). Please install updates, as an old version may lack fixes.

If you find a security problem in the game, please write to info@maxdittmar.dev.

6. Warranty

Your statutory rights if the game is faulty remain in full. For consumers in the European Union this includes the conformity of digital products and the updates needed for it (in Germany sections 327 and following of the Civil Code).

7. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act and where we gave a guarantee. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaching an obligation that makes the proper use of the game possible at all and on whose fulfilment you may rely, and then only for the damage typical and foreseeable for such a contract. Otherwise our liability is excluded. Mandatory law of your country that protects you further is not affected.

8. Privacy

How the game handles data is explained in the privacy policy (Settings, Legal).

9. Law and disputes

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection law of the country you live in still protects you.

We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for later versions of the game, for example when it gains new features. The version shown in the game you use applies to it. These terms are also published at maxdittmar.dev/legal/realmfront/terms/.
